Fresh Charcocoshell is a chemical-free product that is safe to use. Pupils of SJK(T) Tun Sambanthan are complaining about foul-smelling socks and foot odour when they return from in-person classes. Pupils in Year 5 came up with the idea of making air refreshers to overcome this issue. Pupils conducted research on materials that can absorb bad odours and fill the environment with a new smell. This air refresher is an herb-based product that smells good and creates a calming environment. This product is named Fresh Charcocoshell as it is made up of burned coconut shell mixed with dried kaffir lime leaves and also dried lemongrass. This product helped to absorb foul ordour and refresh the environment with a natural fragrance. The burned coconut shell was turned into powder as it can absorb foul odour whereas dried kaffir lime leaves and dried lemongrass were also ground to make powder as they help to produce a natural fragrance in the surroundings. Fresh Charcocoshell is easy to make and does not cost much, and the herbs used in this product can be grown in our own garden. Fresh Charcocoshell is a powder based product; in the future this product can be enhanced into a solid form.
