A persistent issue surfaced in our classrooms: low-achieving students, particularly those not proficient in English, faced significant hurdles in spelling and reading. To tackle this challenge head-on, a collaborative effort emerged within our teaching team. Recognizing the urgent need for an effective solution, we embarked on a creative journey to develop an innovative teaching tool: the "Mastery Reading With Me: Vol 1" phonics flip book. This resourceful endeavor was a testament to teamwork and dedication. The flip book, meticulously designed and crafted, became our beacon of hope for struggling students. Its core concept was simple yet powerful: combining visual cues with auditory reinforcement. Each page of the book featured a specific letter or letter combination alongside vibrant illustrations, offering a holistic learning experience.
