Coffee is a popular beverage consumed all over the world. People usually discard the grounds left behind after it’s brewed. Most coffee shops have an abundance of used coffee grounds that usually they just throw away as a waste. Instead of throwing away, they can be used as added value in pastry products. Used coffee grounds could helps enhance and gives variance of flavour, colour and texture of the pastry products. Thus, the idea of using used ground coffee is to introduce functional food waste at affordable cost. By saying functional food waste could reduce environmental damage by post-consumption coffee waste.
