Beautiful and healthy lips are desired by everyone. Lips tend to become dry, peel, inflame, darken, and age quickly in an extreme hot weather and unhealthy air environments. Many customer also have a hard time finding organic cosmetics that are truly natural. Besides, the products are often too pricey in the market. To address this issue, we have developed an organic lip care kit called “Biutrixx Lip Beauty Kit” that is based on natural ingredients from the Iban community. The main ingredient in this kit is Illipe nut oil or “Minyak Engkabang”. Engkabang fruit is a seasonal fruit in Sarawak that comes from the Red Meranti trees, which are very popular among the Iban community. It is also known as “Butter Sarawak”2 and was originally used as a food source. A local beauty product entrepreneur from Sarawak, Pn Ummu Aqilah Makshut, the owner of the WAMP brand has conducted a study on engkabang oil at UMS (University Malaysia Sabah), and found that “compared to cocoa butter, engkabang oil has a moisturizing effect that is 5% better than cocoa butter”. Engkabang oil contain stearic acid, oleic acid and antioxidants that provide many benefits for skin care and beauty cosmetics. These benefits include moisturizing the skin, reducing pigmentation problems, and repairing damaged hair. Meanwhile, this condition match our objective in producing lip care kit based on natural ingredients, affordable price and flexible skincare kit for men and women to use daily. To be beautiful, we do not have to rely on imported skincare products. As a local native, we proudly, have created lip care kit from local ingredients that have a lot of potential to be market in domestic and international markets.
