This thesis explores the current state and challenges of waste management in Malaysia, focusing on the country's strategies for waste reduction, recycling, and sustainable disposal. Despite government efforts and public awareness campaigns, Malaysia faces significant issues such as inadequate infrastructure, limited recycling facilities, and high levels of waste generation. This study analyzes the effectiveness of existing policies and initiatives, highlights successful case studies, and offers recommendations for improving waste management practices. The findings underscore the need for enhanced regulatory frameworks, increased public participation, and technological innovations to address the growing waste crisis in Malaysia.
