Tourist destinations such as hotels require human labour to clean. Spaces that need constant cleaning include hallways, lobbies, cafeteria and more. Currently, manual cleaning processes are time consuming and require the employment of multiple people. The Scrub_Bot is a revolutionary solution to address the issue. The robot uses advanced technologies like IoT using Blynk, a radio controller, and sensors to improve the floor cleaning process. The robot is controlled by a remote controller and uses two mops on the bottom to clean the floor. The height of the mops are adjustable to ensure adequate pressure. It also has ultrasonic sensors and a siren to alert the user of potential collisions. The robot also has a gas sensor and DHT sensor to measure air quality, temperature, and humidity. The user can access this information in real-time using the Blynk application, provided both the user and the robot are connected to the internet. Data is received and uploaded to Blynk using an Arduino Uno and Nodemcu through the internet. For the future of this robot we plan to incorporate an autonomous driving system. This innovative solution aims to improve the cleanliness of hotels and to boost the country's tourism sector.
