Chemical pesticides are widely used in modern agriculture to protect crops from diseases and pests, providing efficient control over a range of risks to the production of fruits and vegetables. On fruits and vegetables, however, leftover pesticides might be harmful if not thoroughly cleansed. Furthermore, consumers are becoming concerned about synthetic waxes used to coat vegetables since they may eventually unawares eat hazardous substances. Therefore Fruit & Veggie wash was created to lessen these dangers. This liquid wash is made from eco-enzyme which produced through anaerobic fermentation using pineapple and calamansi peels, molasses and non-chlorinated water. Finding shows that by using a natural substitute for conventional wax washers, it gets rid of fruit wax efficiently. Pineapple peels contribute bromelain, known for its proteolytic properties, capable of breaking down residues like wax coatings. Meanwhile, calamansi peels, with their citric acid content and acidic nature, excel in removing dirt. Thus, fruit & veggie wash not only ensures produce safety but also aligns with the growing demand for eco-friendly solutions in modern agricultural practices.
