Plastic waste management is a critical challenge in school environments worldwide, necessitating effective solutions to mitigate environmental and health impacts. This study addresses the issue by developing and implementing the EcoViber application, a digital platform designed to optimize plastic waste management practices. The primary objective was to enhance the efficiency and effectiveness of plastic waste management within schools through technological intervention. Using a systematic approach, the research employed the waterfall methodology. The main outcomes reveal that EcoViber facilitates easy recording, sorting, and monitoring of plastic waste, enhancing transparency and accountability among school stakeholders. User feedback highlighted the application's user-friendly interface, intuitive design, and motivational features, such as educational tips and a ranking system, fostering environmental awareness and active participation. EcoViber represents a significant advancement in addressing plastic waste challenges in schools, offering a practical toolset for managing and reducing plastic waste effectively. Future research should focus on scaling EcoViber across diverse educational contexts and refining methodologies to enhance its applicability and sustainability in fostering clean, healthy, and eco-conscious school environments.
